Between 10:38 and 11:20 CEST, our service experienced elevated error rates, including HTTP 504 responses, due to a database connection issue on aconso Cloud AWS EU. The root cause was a high number of blocking connections to our database, which exhausted available connections and prevented application components from completing requests in a timely manner. This led to timeouts and degraded service performance for some users.
Our Cloud Operations team identified the issue and mitigated the problem by clearing blocked queries, optimizing connection handling, and scaling resources to restore stability.
We have implemented additional monitoring and are reviewing connection limits and locking behavior to prevent recurrence.
